Note with painting: "St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Mary Township was the oldest congregation in Waseca County when it disbanded in 1973. The building was torn down in 1978, despite many attempts to save it. This watercolor by artist Jack Dahl, former Janesville resident, shows the Gothic detailing used in the steeple when the church was built in 1887."
