Steam Engine Indicator. Material: metal, wood, glass, cork, textile. Size: 8 1/2" W. x 12 1/2" L. x 7" H. Description: stained and polished hard wood case - drop metal and clasp closing on front - hinged lid. Contents: stainless steel components making up a steam line valve assembly and accessories - stamped on one component: "Trademark Crosby, 12788 and "Crosby Steam Gage and Valve Co., Boston, Mass., Pat'd July 2 & Sep. 2 1879, Apr. 11 & Sep. 5, 1882, April 30, 1895".

The indicator instrument is mounted horizontally in its wooden case, the cord is attached to the instrument. Accessories: Mounting Dowels, Oil bottle, Dowel Tube, followed by four setting springs.There is a large valve assembly in the corner of the box for fitting to a steam line.
