Black Wool Waist. Material: textile, metal. Size: 13 1/2" W. (across shoulders) x 28" L. Description: black wool twill - high, rounded neckline - black cotton chintz lining - black taffeta front bodice detail with horizontal pleats , vertical bands and covered buttons - 3/4 length sleeves taper to a point above wrist with a one button decoration - front bodice closure over left side with hooks and eyes - long unfinished black cotton extension sewn to waistline and designed to be tucked into waistband.

Worn by Ella (Thompson) Jensen, b. 1887 in Wisconsin and died in 1966. Mrs. Jensen was the aunt of Ruth (Hendrickson) Fury of Janesville, Minnesota; worn again by Mrs. Fury in the 1956 Centennial celebration in Janesville. Goes with skirt 47.03.14.
