Smiths Mill School House. 4 1/2" x 3 1/2" black and white postcard photograph of the Smiths Mill School House; Smiths Mill schoolhouse; a one-story structure with gable roof, attic windows, a bell tower or steeple over the main door, tucked into the corner of adjoining roof lines, white clapboard siding.
A collection of 40 photographs donated by James Barber, Janesville, Minn.; all but one photograph were taken by his father, Benny C. Barber, also of Janesville; Bennie was the son of Permelia Pitman and George B. Barber; Permelia was the daughter of Leman Pitman and the sister of William Pitman.
