4" x 2 3/8" black and white photograph of Mr. Larson, the building foreman, supervising the construction onsite of Peter Miller's new dairy barn. Larson has a very long, wispy moustache, bowler hat and wears suspenders; background shows the cut beams and boards from the milling process; an automobile and older woman in background.
This is a collection of 20 black and white, and 4 color photographs of the Peter Miller farm, and particularly of the building of their dairy barn in Blooming Grove Township, Waseca County; 39403 140th St. The barn is very typical of barns built in the early part of the 20th century featuring gambrel roof, roof ventilators, attached silo and roof dormers. It was built in 1918 from trees milled right on the site of the new barn. See 102.08.10
