Harmoney Hall and Model Train. 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" black and white postcard photograph of the interior of Harmoney Hall or Harmony Hall; of a social event, an Easter dance presented by B.R.T. 139, the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen Union #139; stage is decorated with crepe paper streamers and a sign, "Easter Greetings"; the model train engine, coal car (with #139) and caboose are set up on the stage (This model is in the WCHS collection.)
This donation was made by the great-grandson of Emmons Smith, Sr. and provided this family information: Emmons Smith, Sr. was a Waseca Co. Commissioner and once owned the Waverly Hotel on S. State at 2nd Ave. S.E.; married Catherine (Kate) O'Brian; his five children - William Dennis Smith (b. Feb 16, 1883, d. May 3, 1916, m. Phoebe Lortis, 1903), Emmons H. Smith, Jr. (b. Sept 4, 1884), Edna Mae Smith (b. Nov 27, 1885, m. Harry A. Fowler, 1905), Margaret Mary Smith aka Babe, b. July 27, 1889, m. D. C. Steele, 1909), Earle James Smith (b. Oct 29, 1901, m. Gretchen Heath, 1922)
