This donation was made by the great-grandson of Emmons Smith, Sr. and provided this family information: Emmons Smith, Sr. was a Waseca Co. Commissioner and once owned the Waverly Hotel on S. State at 2nd Ave. S.E.; married Catherine (Kate) O'Brian; his five children - William Dennis Smith (b. Feb 16, 1883, d. May 3, 1916, m. Phoebe Lortis, 1903), Emmons H. Smith, Jr. (b. Sept 4, 1884), Edna Mae Smith (b. Nov 27, 1885, m. Harry A. Fowler, 1905), Margaret Mary Smith aka Babe, b. July 27, 1889, m. D. C. Steele, 1909), Earle James Smith (b. Oct 29, 1901, m.
