Andersen participated in ribbon cutting ceremonies at the new million dollar plant of the E.F. Johnson Company, nationally known manufacturer of electronic components and short wave radio equipment. The ceremony commemorated the construction of the 113,000 square foot general offices and manufacturing facilities. Begun in 1959 the building was planned to handle roughly twice the sales volume of that year, according to E.F. Johnson, President, "Sales have increased so rapidly we are approaching that point now." A further expansion might be necessary sooner than expected.
