Johnson Co., manufacturers of radios, radio components, CBs and cellular telephones, opened a new facility in 1974 in Garner, Iowa, and another in 1976 in Clear Lake, IA; built for the purpose of producing more crystals at the height of the CB radio popularity. E. F. Johnson Co. sold as much as it could produce. The following photographs are from an olive green non-archival photo album; most of the photographs are very poor, polaroids, obscure, dark exposures, but these were accepted for the WCHS collection, the rest were discarded.
