E. Church; during the Civil War, he served in Company E, Eighth Wisconsin Infantry, promoted to major in 1864; elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 1870, to the senate in 1871, appointed postmaster of Waseca in 1876; elected judge of probate in 1885; father of William H. Young, Eugene W. Young, Mabel A. Young, and Luna E. Young (deceased by 1889); daughter married Mr. Bensel; photographed by Lawin, Waseca, Minnesota.
