Material: textile. Size: 39" diameter. Description: ecru cotton circular cloth - 3" W. ecru crocheted and tatted lace edging - shades of teal, black and brown embroidered center design of long-legged, long-billed bird - light teal cloth paint fills in areas of the bird's body and feathers.

Embroidered by donor's mother, Hattie Miller (Mrs. Fred) Scholljegerdes. The lace edging was added later and was knit by Fred's grandmother, Mrs. Proechel sometime in the 1920s. Mrs. Proechel died ca. 1925. Reviewed by Deacc. Committee January 2006 and put back in collection.
