Thelma Herter Nightgown. Material: textile. Size: 20" W. x 57" L. Description: coral satin, full length gown; sleeveless with a deep v-neckline front and back; ecru appliqued lace panel on each side of plunging neckline and at center of empire waistline; one narrow tie remains at right waistline.

George Herter was born 24 May 1911, an avid sportsman and entrepreneur; father started Herter's Department Store; George Herter started Herter's Sporting Goods, a retail and world-wide catalog business. This nightgown belonged to George Herter's sister, Thelma who was born and raised in Waseca.
