Standard Gas Station Pen. Material: plastic and metal. Size: 3/4" W. x 5 1/8" L. Description: white and blue cylinder with red in the logo; retractable ball-point in silver tip operated with the silver push button at the top of the pen; silver metal clasp on side; red, white and blue "Standard" company flame logo within an oval at top of pen printed in silver on the blue lower end of pen: "Tetzloff Standard, Janesville, Minnesota, Phone 234-6265"; silver band separates upper from lower ends of pen.
Janesville business: Tetzloff Standard. Standard Gas Station of Janesville, Minnesota was managed by Joseph Tetzloff for many years around 1960 to 1980. The station was located one block west of the stoplights in Janesville on the south side of original Highway 14. When the building was sold, it became a convenience store and as late as 2006 the building was used as a veterinary clinic.
