Myron Gardner. 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" black and white photograph of Myron Gardner, "born near Old Concord in Dodge County on March 30, 1878; where he attended school and grew to manhood. He took a course in buttermaking at the University of Minnesota and took a refresher course at the University of Iowa in 1926, which trade he followed for 31 years. His first creamery was the Ellington in Dodge County, later was employed at Springfield, Minn.; and from there came to Waseca. He was buttermaker here when the new Waseca Co-op Creamery was built. In 1929 he joined the Minnesota Food & Dairy Dept. as an inspector, which position he held until 1950 when he returned to Waseca. Mr. Gardner married Anna E. Miller of Dodge County and they have one daughter, Thelma (Mrs. Neal Heis of Forebrook, CA.) The Heis' are grandparents, making Mr. and Mrs. Gardner great-grandparents. The Gardners reside at 310 5th St. N.E. Mr. Gardner is a member of the local Methodist Church, a member of Tuscan Lodge #77, A.F. & A.M., serving as master in 1920. He is a member of Waseca Chapter #26 Royal Arch Masons, and served as High Priest 1918-19. Mr. Gardner is a man who has the respect of a host of friends throughout the state and I count him as one of my best friends. 1-1-55"
During Herman Peterson's work at the Waseca County Historical Society, he collected portraits and biographies of many friends and Waseca area businessmen and professionals.
