Reuben Wasbotten. 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" black and white photograph of Reuben Wasbotten, "born in Waseca on April 21, 1903, to the late Rev. and Mrs. R. P. Wasbotten. Reuben attended the Waseca Public School, graduating in 1921. In 1924 he took a course in store management at St. Louis, Missouri. He was employed in that capacity by H. A. Brown & Son, Inc., Waseca, for nine years. Following employment with the Brown concern, he worked as a salesman for a Milwaukee, Wisc. firm. He was an instructor in woodworking in CCC camps from 1940-42, when he joined the E. F. Johnson Co. He was first employed as set-up man in the Assembly Dept., as a draftsman. Reuben and Miss Elizabeth Youngdahl were married on July 22, 1929. They reside at 306 East Elm Avenue. Their son, Robert, is a sophomore at St. Olaf College, Northfield. Reuben is a member of Tuscan Lodge #77, A.F. & A.M., serving as master in 1935. He is an active member of the Grace Lutheran Church. With his handicap, Reuben is always cheerful. I consider him one of my best friends. 1-1-55"
During Herman Peterson's work at the Waseca County Historical Society, he collected portraits and biographies of many friends and Waseca area businessmen and professionals.
