Dr. J. F. Lynn. 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" black and white photograph of Dr. J. F. Lynn, "born in Londown County, Virginia; attended Richmond College and graduated from William and Mary College at Williamsburg, Va. in 1896 with a degree in Medicine. He continued the study of medicine at New York City where he received advanced degrees. He came to Waseca in August 1900, and established his practice which he carried on until his death. He was very active in Democratic Party politics. He was twice nominated for Congree in the First Minnesota District in 1922 and again in 1928. He served overseas in World War I, served as City Health Officer for many years. He also served on the Waseca School Board for two terms. He was a member of Tuscan Lodge #77, A.F. & A.M., and served as past master in 1911. He died of a heart attack at the courthouse on March 23, 1954. Dr. Lynn married Jessie Helms June 28, 1904. She with two sons survive him, James at Owatonna, and Robert in St. Paul. For 35 years, Dr. Lynn was my next door neighbor, and I learned to like and respect him a great deal. I miss him. I cherish his memory. 1-1-55"
