Berton Hansen. 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" black and white photograph of Berton Howard Hansen, "born August 26, 1899 at Jackson, Minn., son of Hans A. and Fannie Webster Hansen; received elementary education at Odin, Minn.; attended Mankato High School, graduated from Palmer School of Chiropractory at Davenport, Iowa, in December 1921. He came to Waseca in 1934 to work for Pfaff Furniture and in 1939 entered into partnership with the late C. J. Johnson in the woodworking business, until 1944 when Mr. Johnson retired and Bert became the sole owner operating under the name of Hansen Hardware and Woodwork Co. He is a member of Tuscan Lodge #77, A.F. & A.M., and served as master in 1949; a member of Hope Chapter #34, O.E.S.; member of Waseca Chapter #26 serving as High Priest in 1947, member of Mankato Commandery #4 Knights Templar and served as Commander in 1952, member of Northfield Council #12 Royal and Select Masters, member of Scottish Rite Bodies, Mpls.; a member of Waseca Congregational Church. The Hansens reside at 816 4th Avenue N.E. Bert is a real workman, a cabinet maker of the highest skill, a wonderful citizen and a real friend. 1-25-55"
