Robert Hodgson. 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" black and white photograph of Robert E. Hodgson, known as Bob Hodgson; "the son of Lewis C. and Leila Hodgson, was born on a farm in Rock County, Minnesota on October 26, 1893; graduated from Luverne High School, graduated from the School of Agriculture of the University of Minnesota, St. Paul Campus. He now has the degree of B.S. and M.S.; in 1918 he served as County Agent of Lyon County. On April 16, 1918 he married Helen Ainger of Hancock, Minn. They came to Waseca in March 1919, when Bob had accepted a position as superintendent of the "then called" Southeast Experiment Station; now known as Southern Minnesota School of Agriculture and Experiment Station, which position he still holds. He was also named Superintendent of the Southern School of Agriculture after the establishment of the school in 1953. Bob is a member of the Waseca Congregational Church. He is a member of Tuscan Lodge #77, A.F. & A.M. and a member of Waseca Chapter #26, Royal Arch Masons. He is a member of the Lions Club, Waseca County Historical Society, president of the Waseca County Horse Thief Detectives, and takes great interest in all his undertakings. Bob turned down a chance to go to Washington D.C. to do research work. He was Scout Master of the Waseca Boy Scout Troop for 22 years and was chosen as Scoutmaster of the Jamboree Troop from Cedar Valley Area at the Jamboree held in Washington D.C. in 1937. The Hodgsons are the parents of four children, Peggy, Robert, Doris and Lois. Bob is a wonderful speaker and writer and a very dear personal friend to whom I owe a lot. 7-10-59"
