Otto Johnson. 3" x 4 1/4" black and white photograph of Otto Johnson, "son of Moses Johnson who settled in Vista community in 1857. He was born and spent his whole life in Otisco Township where he held many offices of public trust. He was the Otisco Farmers Mutual Insurance Co.'s first secretary which position he held for over 40 years, when he resigned on account of ill health. He, with Phillip Bishman, started the first creamery in Otisco, which later became the present Co-operative Creamery. Many are the known deeds, but there are hundreds of others that he performed for the community and its people. He surely lived the Golden Rule and he always performed his daily good turn. I loved and respected him a great deal. He married my oldest sister Anna and they are both resting in the Vista cemetery. Otto passed away November 5, 1931. Long live his memory."
During Herman Peterson's work at the Waseca County Historical Society, he collected portraits and biographies of many friends and Waseca area businessmen and professionals.
