John Seashore. 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" black and white photograph of John Seashore, "born in Sweden, came to U.S. in 1910, directly to Minneapolis. Enlisted in the Navy, spending 18 months in the Great Lakes Naval Training School. After World War I, he located in Waseca and has made his home here since. An outstanding painter and interior decorator; he is a past Noble Grand of the local I.O.O.F. Lodge, charter member of the Lion's Club of Waseca, the Treasurer of the Congregational Church and an all around Waseca booster. For several years he was our next door neighbor where I came to know and respect him as a brother. I hold him as a very dear friend, a friend that would go a long way to help and cheer a person in need. Best of luck and health is my wish to you, John."
During Herman Peterson's work at the Waseca County Historical Society, he collected portraits and biographies of many friends and Waseca area businessmen and professionals.
