Child; was born in Waseca County; served in the Spanish American War in 1898; made a captain of Co. K. Minn.-Det. Reg.; Company K was made up of Waseca men, a very few of whom are alive and reside in Waseca; Mr. Child served as secretary of Tuscan Lodge No. 77 for 14 years; Mr. Child passed away in the Veterans Hospital, Minneapolis on January 31, 1949.
