Raymond Sponberg. 3 1/2" x 4 1/2" black and white photograph; Raymond Sponberg, "son of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Sponberg, was born in Otisco Township; received his grade school education in District 85 and later attended New Richland High School, graduating from same; He is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter; after graduation he was employed by the college as a Membership Solicitor and in 1938 was appointed Athletic Director of Gustavus. Later accepted a position with George A. Hormel Company, Austin. He resigned to enter the Armed Forces and served as 1st Lt.; married to Florence Larson, Mary 30, 1942. They reside at Mankato and have two children, Michael and Meriam. Raymond is Dist. Agent for National Life Ins. Co. with headquarters in Mankato. A good friend and a swell fellow. (November 1, 1947)
