PLACEHOLDER Material: textile, paper. Size: 5" W. x 14" L. Description: white terry cloth cotton - white rayon ribbon trim - flesh colored starched cotton canvas face - entire body, limbs, cloak and head scarf of nurse doll are formed with rolled and pleated terry cloths - face features are painted on the canvas with blue eyes, red cheeks and red lips - narrow white ribbon tied around neck, wrists and ankles - red paper tape cross on scarf above forehead.
Belonged to Alice Eastvold Erickson. Alice was born in Montrose, SD July 19, 1912, raised in Borup, and died August 26, 2003 in New Richland. After working as a nurse aide in Ada, Minn., Alice passed her state boards and worked at St. John's Lutheran Hospital in St. Paul until 1953. Alice was married to Oluf Erickson of Hartland, Minnesota in 1953. In 1968, they moved to New Richland. Oluf passed away March 4, 1999. Alice's and Oluf's obituaries were printed in the New Richland Star.
