Description: white starched cotton - closure with one white stud in three buttonholes - 1 3/4" W. white patch bordered in blue stitching attached to side of hat and lettered in blue embroidery: "Minnesota LPN Association" - stamped in black inside cap: "Kay's Cap - Needs No Starch - Licensed Under U.S. Pat. 1.909.960".
Worn by Alice Eastvold Erickson between the years 1942-1953. Her mother, Millie Eastvold of Borup, Minnesota made all her uniforms. Alice was born in Montrose, SD July 19, 1912, raised in Borup, and died August 26, 2003 in New Richland. After working as a nurse aide in Ada, Minn., Alice passed her state boards and worked at St. John's Lutheran Hospital in St. Paul until 1953. Alice was married to Oluf Erickson of Hartland, Minnesota in 1953. In 1968, they moved to New Richland. Oluf passed away March 4, 1999. Both obituaries were printed in the New Richland Star.
