Kari Dambraaten emigrated from Norway in about 1865 with her 7 children and came to the farm of her brother Iver Anderson Opgaarden in Steele County east of St. Olaf Lake. She later moved to a neighboring county for a short time until she returned to Waseca County with her son, Andrew; they settled on this farm in Section 1 of New Richland Township. Immigration.
