Andrew Dambraaten Johnson emigrated as a child from Toten, Norway in 1867 with his mother, Kari, and his many siblings. They settled in the St. Olaf Lake area of New Richland Township, Waseca County. Inger Hartz emigrated as a child from Sigdal, Norway in 1870 with her parents, Embert and Kjersti Hartz, and family. They settled near Manchester, MN in Freeborn County.
