Farmstead, Section 36, southeast Otisco township, farmyard, farmhouse. 160 acre farm is identified in the Waseca County 1879 Landowners of Record in the name of Andrew Stenson; it was purchased from Anna Kinder in the early 1900s by Norwegian (Hurdal) immigrants Lauritz (L.G.) Haug and his wife, Pauline Pedersdatter Garsjoen; their son Ralph Haug [b.1899, d. 1987] and his wife Helen Johnson [b. 1900, d. 1985] (daughter of A.D. & Inger Hartz Johnson) farmed from the 1920s to the 1960s; third generation Robert "Bob" Haug [b. 1925] and his wife Lorraine Hagen Haug [b. 1927] were the last Haugs to own the farmstead. In 2003, the land is still farmed by a great-grandson of the original Haug owner.
