Flower Girl Dress. Material: textile. Size: 24" W. x 28 1/2" L. Description: pale golden tan silk trimmed with orange cotton and green silk yarn; round neckline with V-shape in center front and Peter Pan collar edged with orange cotton bias tape; upper bodice trim: 3" W. narrow horizontal band of orange bias tape extends from sleeve seam towards center on each side below collar; dress fabric is smocked to the orange band on each side and held in place with one row of orange embroidered cross stitch above a row of green French knots; similar design on each side at dropped waistline; short sleeves with turned back cuffs edged with orange bias tape; silk sashes attached at side seams to tie in back.
Worn by Marian (Mrs. Bennie Miller) in 1928. Hankie and flower basket were accessories.
