Dr. D. S. Cummings. Cummings Residence. 6 1/2" x 4 1/2" black and white photograph of Dr. D. S. Cummings at his desk in his home office located at 312 2nd Avenue N.E., Waseca; the desk is a roll-top style desk with various visible items--a microscope under glass enclosure, a porcelain clock on a shelf, his doctor's bag or physician's bag resting on a safe with his name written on the front, some medicine bottles; handwritten note beside photograph, "The artist, a flash light." (meaning he used flash powder to create enough light to take the interior photograph)
Found in collection with note written on torn inside cover, "1971, to Waseca County Historical Society, from Wm. G. Cummings; pictures taken by my father, Dr. Damon S. Cummings in the late 1890s; (signed) W. G. Cummings; photographs of members of the Ward family, Trowbridge family, Everett family, Watson family.
