Material: textile, metal, beads. Size: 13 1/2" W. shoulder to shoulder x 25" L. Description: black silk - mandarin type collar faced with black satin and banded in red silk - bodice open from neckline to hemline - opening edged with intricate design of red, gold and white beads and tiny gold metal disks - long set in sleeves encircled below elbow line with red, white and gold beads - forearm area of sleeve encircled with tiny accordian pleats in black silk trimmed with two stripes of red silk - 2" W. cuffs edged with narrow line of black satin close with snaps - bottom edge of jacket front right and left shows a large decorative cluster of red, white and gold beads and tiny gold metal disks - 2 1/2" L. side slits at each hipline close with four black fabric covered round buttons and loops.
Woman's beaded jacket. From the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Buscho. Used in early 1900s. Donated by Mrs. Don Ferry who is a granddaughter-in-law of the Buscho's and has brought many welcome articles to the museum.
