Description: plum colored taffeta form-fitting jacket with plum colored brushed nap fabric trim on collar, front bodice and cuffs; light brown cotton lining; stand-up collar, long sleeves with cuffs, decorative white buttons and pleated edging; front closure with 14 shell buttons; open pleat and tightly pleated edging along jacket hemline; draped bustle detail lifts jacket back a few inches and covers open pleat; bustle design trimmed with flat ribbon at lower back. (b) Skirt. Size: 41" W. x 42" L. Description: plum colored taffeta, floor length; brown cotton waistband and skirt top; closure at center back with hooks and eyes; decorative details include shirred and gathered side panels; center panel of brushed nap fabric; front top skirt hem cut into 2 1/2" W. x 3 1/2" L. fringes; back of top skirt hem is cut into decorative point edging; brown cotton underskirt has plum colored taffeta sewn at lower edge which shows beneath top skirt; 5" W. band of pleated material at lower edge of underskirt.
