Aviator Emerson Lewer in Uniform. 3" x 5 1/4" black and white photograph of a pilot, dressed in a flight suit with parachute or World War II military aviation uniform, standing beside airplane with numbers, "F-881" on the side; identified as Emerson Lewer, son of John Lewer; brother of George Lewer; cousin of Lawrence Lewer, Waseca, Minn.; handwriting on front reads, "Here's to that Mis. Hot Rock, yours, Emerson Lewer, Waseca, Minnesota"; born in Waseca on September 24, 1921; was a pharmacist in Stillwater, Minn.; father of Greg Lewer, Doug Lewer and Mark Lewer.
Purchased at the Glen L. Wright estate sale in Amarillo, Texas in 2002 by donor, who believes Wright was originally from Leadwood, MO.
