Johnson, Jessie L. Kassing, Jake A. Reigel, Harold Swartwood, Caroline Wiegand (valedictorian).
1909 WHS graduation ceremony took place at the Ward's Opera House: "Flocks of colored paper butterflies screened the side of the stage which was tastefully decorated in the class colors, olive green and white. The class motto chosen from the German was prominently lettered about the stage, "Von mogliehkeit zu wirklichkeit" meaning, "from possibility to reality". Backside note: Donated by Pete Mahler, c/o Caroline Pfaff; also names of graduates in the photographs were listed, but not in identifying order.
