Marie Papke Braun. 3 1/2" x 5" black and white portrait photograph of Marie Papke, Maria Eva Papke, Maria Braun, Mrs. Fred Braun; born August 31, 1897; died April 12, 1925 from complications of childbirth at the Waseca hospital; married Fred Braun on October 14, 1923; Marie was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Papke, St. Mary Township; sister to Jennie Papke (Mrs. Joe Powell), Esther Papke, William H. Papke, Arthur Papke, John Papke, Emil Papke, and Frank Papke; photographed by Wm. J. Stiehl, Waseca, Minn.

Photographs were purchased from the estate sale of Joe Powell, by donor; later identified by Carol Wobschall, daughter of Joe Powell and Jennie Papke Powell. Powell was a restauranteur in Waseca for many years, during the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s.
