Description: green wool hip length, V-neckline with notched collar and lapels; front closure with gold buttons; four front pockets; patch on sleeve indicates "7th Army". (b) Jacket. Material: textile, metal. Size: 17 1/2" W. x 31" L. Description: green wool hip length, V-neckline with notched collar forming lapels; front closure with gold buttons; four front pockets; sleeve patch indicates "5th Army". (c) Pants. Material: textile. Size: 17" W. x 32" L. Description: green wool full length pants, side and front pockets. (d) Pants. Material: textile. Size: 16 1/2" W. x 32" L. Description: green wool full length pants with side and front pockets.
(28.02.3c and 28.02.3a deaccessioned 3-15-06.)Two uniforms issued in 1958 while Guentzel was in Germany. One jacket displays the "7th Army" patch (overseas). The second jacket displays the "5th Army" patch (stateside) while Guentzel was serving in 1961-62 with the 164th Engineer Battallion in Ft. Riley, Kansas (North Dakota guard unit recalled in 1961).
