Anders Peder Andersen with Friend. Black and white photograph of two men standing in a room with paneled doors as background; left, is the donor's grandfather, Anders Peder Andersen; a Danish immigrant; his friend standing right is unidentified; taken in New Richland, Minn. (Anders Peder Andersen was born April 25, 1884 in Noerreby, Klinte parish on the island Funen in Denmark. His parents were Rasmus Andersen Skjellund and Kirsten Emilie Pedersen. Anders came to the America at age 28 to learn farming methods. He spent 7 years between 1912 and 1919 in Waseca County, some time in Minneapolis, Albert Lea, St. Ansgar, IA and Milwaukee, WI. He joined the Danish-American Brotherhood while in the United States.)
