Mr. Perrin and Waseca Brass Band 1912. 5 1/2" x 3 1/2" black and white postcard photograph of the Waseca Brass Band, 1912; posed formally in front of the Waseca County courthouse; all brass musical instruments, tuba, mellophone (Not a French Horn, but similar to a French Horn instrument.), trumpet, cornet, saxophone, trombone, flute, piccolo, snare drum, bass drum; unidentified except for Mr. Perrin, band leader and owner of Waseca Music store at the time, seated exact center, center row, 6th from the left. Waseca Band.
The donor is the great-grandson of William Everett, co-founder with Aughenbaugh, of the E. A. Co Mill in Waseca County. The Everett home, built by William's son Edward Everett, overlooking the east end of Clear Lake, was a showplace in its time, a classic Victorian-style home, it was demolished in 1958 it was an architectural and historical loss to Waseca County. This collection of photographs from Willard Everett is donated under our "Loaned to Us" program, where the donor allows WCHS to scan the images, but donor keeps possession of the original photographs.
