Description: black and white postcard photograph of main street Waseca; a view on what is now State Street looking north from south of 2nd Avenue; print at bottom of card: "Main St. Looking North, Waseca Minn., 757"; visible is the old Waseca City Hall on the right; Yep Lun Chinese Laundry; the Waverly Hotel on the next corner at 2nd Avenue; Lewer Auto building on left; Botsford lumber company; several horse-drawn wagons, street lamps and model. According to "Waseca County in the World War", p. 63, (includes photo) Yep Lun entered World War I service on June 27, 1918; was a member of the 22nd Company 161st Depot Brigade, Camp Grant, Illinois.
Waseca business: Yep Lun Chinese Laundry; Waverly Hotel; Lewer Auto. The donor is the great-grandson of William Everett, co-founder with Aughenbaugh, of the EACO Mill in Waseca County. The Everett home, built by William's son Edward Everett, overlooking the east end of Clear Lake, was a showplace in its time, a classic Victorian-style home, it was demolished in 1958 it was an architectural and historical loss to Waseca County.
