Donor's grandfather, Anders Peder Andersen, lived in the New Richland area from 1912 to 1919, returning to Denmark December 1919. The hotel is the same as in Accession #LU43.1. (Anders Peder Andersen was born April 25, 1884 in Noerreby, Klinte parish on the island Funen in Denmark son of Rasmus Andersen Skjellund and Kirsten Emilie Pedersen. Anders came to the America at age 28 to learn farming methods and spent 7 years between 1912 and 1919 in Waseca County, some time in Minneapolis, Albert Lea, St. Ansgar, IA and Milwaukee, WI. He joined the Danish-American Brotherhood while in the United States.
