Clear Lake, South Side, Old Railroad Spur. 4 3/4" x 3 3/4" black and white photograph of the south side of Clear Lake in Waseca, Minn.; shows a view of Maplewood Park from East Elm Avenue; the old railroad spur that brought trains out to Maplewood Park is visible in foreground next to the lakeshore. The Maplewood Hotel burned down around 1899. It had been an important site for the Chautauqua events of the 1880s, when people came from all over to attend.
