Spanish War Scrapbook. 11" x 9 1/2" black cloth scrapbook with two-hole punched binding and black shoestring tie; contains newspaper clippings, membership cards, typed notes regarding conferences, etc. all regarding VFW, Veterans of Foreign Wars, particularly John Bowe; contains one original photograph of a group of veteran soldiers including John Bowe.

A scrapbook compiled by John Bowe about the Waseca VFW, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Bowe served in the Spanish War and served as a member of the Foreign Legion in France during the World War. He organized a Masonic Lodge among the soldiers in Bordeaux, France, and was awarded a Bordeaux Medal. He also received a Masonic gold service medal.
