His field of work was wide spread, there being at one time ten preaching places covering a radius of 60 miles. He served New Richland, LeSueur, Ellendale, Medo, Aurora, and North Waseca parishes. Bad roads, hard winters and much travel brought a great deal of hardship, but he was blessed with a strong physique and a strong constitution and cheerfully endured what was the common lot in those days..."
