Ira Trowbridge Residence on 4th Avenue N.E. and State Street, Waseca. 4 3/4" x 3 3/4" black and white photograph of the Ira Trowbridge residence across from Trowbridge Park at North State Street on 4th Avenue N.E. This house originally faced North State Street and at some point in the early 1900s, it was moved to face 4th Avenue N.E. where it still stands. Trowbridge was an early Waseca settler, businessman, and politician, 1823-1893; he came to Waseca County in 1867 and bought the Meyers farm, which Trowbridge immediately started developing as the city of Waseca; building the first hotel in Waseca; he was assisted by his future sons-in-law, W. G. Ward and J. H. Jenkins.
