Thomas and Margaret Madden Cawley Wedding Portait. Hand tinted photograph of Thomas Cawley (Kilcawley) and Margaret Madden Cawley on their wedding day, June 3, 1857 in St. Louis, Missouri. Thomas Kilcawley, sometime between his marriage in 1857 and the 1860 St. Louis, Missouri census, changed his name from Kilcawley to Cawley. Thomas Cawley was the son of Patrick Kilcawley and Mary (Cuffee) Kilcawley; born Jan. 1, 1833 in County Sligo, Ireland; married Margaret Madden June 3, 1857, in St. Louis, MO; died Aug. 15, 1897, buried at Calvary Cemetery, Waseca, Minn.

It was Thomas Cawley and Margaret Madden who were married in 1857 (in St. Louis) and who settled in Waseca about 1866. All of their children were born in Waseca, Minn. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Foley also settled in Waseca earlier in 1856.
