The donor is the great-grandson of William Everett, co-founder with Aughenbaugh, of the EACO Mill in Waseca County. The Everett home, built by William's son Edward Everett, overlooking the east end of Clear Lake, was a showplace in its time, a classic Victorian-style home, it was demolished in 1958 it was an architectural and historical loss to Waseca County.

Messrs. Harquette Bros. & Hawald have the contract for the basement of Mr. Everett's new residence.

Mr. John McClay of Minneapolis, has the contract for building Mr. Everett's new residence. He began work on Monday morning with a large force of men and intends to have the walls run up and inclosed in about two weeks. Mineral wool will be used instead of plaster, which is more durable and much better in this climate, as it is a non-conductor of heat and cold and consequently more preferable.
The house was not finished until sometime in 1896. Most of the interior photos are dated 1898 and that is probably when the Everetts felt the interiors were properly decorated and finished for photography. Everett Residence, Everett House, Everett Home.
