PLACEHOLDER Material: metal, wood. Size: 10 1/1" W. x 20" L. x 13 1/2" H. Description: tin rectangular box - lid - black painted turned wood attached to metal bail at center top. "Tin box" used by engineers and firemen to protect valuables from the soot in the cab of a steam locomotive. This galvanized, tightly fitting box typically carried a timetable, company rule book, a change of clothes and lunch. Name plate under handle reads: "Connors, CA 1920."
