Conductor's uniform: similar to or possibly the uniform worn by John Raymond "Ray" Johnson, a conductor on the Chicago Northwest out of Waseca most of his lifetime between 1912 and 1960. Chuck Johnson, Ray's son provided the information that conductors belonged to a very supportive brotherhood. When a conductor came to the end of the line, he would often stay at the home of another conductor, thereby saving the cost of a hotel or boarding house room.
