E. E. and Effie Patterson Rutledge. Photo of E. E. Rutledge (grandfather of Jerry Rutledge) and his second wife, Effie Patterson, taken on Christmas eve, 1951. He lived to be 85 years old; she to 98 years old. Effie Patterson was born in New Sharon, Iowa.
