(Grand Army of the Republic, were Civil War veterans); black cannon on a cement slab; cannon balls beside it; located on the corner of North State Street and 3rd Avenue N.E., on the grounds of the Waseca County Courthouse; the Trowbridge house in background on when it faced State Street; reverse side: addressed to Mr. I. Jenkins, Smiths Mill, Minn.; postmarked Feb 3, 1906; one cent stamp.
The Courthouse is on the National Register of Historic Sites. The Trowbridge house shown in background was later turned on its foundation to face 4th Avenue N.E. toward the park.
