M & St. L New Richland Train Wreck. 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" black and white postcard photograph of the uprighted steam engine #456, in the railroad train wreck in which engineer, Andy Stover died. Note on back: it was Engine #456 of no. 96, which ran into 94's rear end. Minneapolis and St. Louis Railroad. M & St. L Railroad.

Postcard was glued to a poster with message: "Do you remember this train wreck one mile South of New Richland that stormy night in March, 1916?" From a collection of Clem W. Kral, former M&St. Louis telegrapher.
